About Us

Wayne Miller has been honored by his fellow judges with the Harvey Ford Award given to one judge each year to recognize excellence as a jurist, dedication to their local community, and tireless work for the Judges Conference. Additionally, Wayne received the highest honor from his fellow judges by being elected to represent the Judges as President of their Judges Conference. He has received many other awards while on the Bench including, but not limited to: The Salvation Army Person of the Year, The County Judge Conference Community Service Award; The Florida Keys Children’s Shelter Person of the Year Award; and The City of Key West resolution of July 12 as “Judge Wayne Miller Day”, honoring Wayne’s commitment to the fair resolution of cases and his dedication to the local community.

Wayne has always been involved with teaching. Wayne has been a regular instructor for the Circuit Court and County Court Judge Conferences. He has taught extensively at the College for Advanced Judicial Studies and the Florida Judicial College during his tenure on the Bench. Having faith in his teaching abilities, Wayne was honored by the Florida Supreme Court with a ten year appointment as both the Dean and the Associate Dean of the Florida Judicial College.

Wayne was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to numerous Supreme Court committees including: Standard Criminal Jury Instruction Committee; Court Technology Committee; Justice Teaching Institute; Florida Court Education Council: Criminal Court Steering Committee; Trial Court Budget Commission; Executive Committee of the Trial Court Budget Commission; and State Court Administrator Selection Committee.
Wayne has also served our community for many years including: Varsity High School Football Coach for Key West High School; Little League Coach; Junior Football League Coach; Junior AYSO Soccer League Coach; and, Junior Basketball League Coach. He served on the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee, and numerous volunteer boards.

Wayne Miller brings his talents as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator to this community to help find a path to common ground and a road to resolution.

Experience

35 years as an Acting Circuit and County Court Judge, handling all types of high profile Circuit and County Court cases.
48 years as a civil and criminal trial attorney.
